Volunteers

SAMH Volunteer Programme comprises of a variety of volunteer activities at different centres, which include direct and indirect service volunteerism.

Direct Service

Volunteer Instructors

  • Teach-A-Skill
    (e.g. acting, dancing, art & craft, computers, cooking, gardening etc.)

Volunteer Befrienders

  • Facilitate outings, conduct camps, plan parties etc.

Criteria for Volunteers

  • Preferably aged 18 and above
  • Mature, independent and a sincere desire to help others
  • Able to commit on a regular basis for at least 6 months
  • Group volunteers from schools or organizations are welcome to apply

Schedule for Volunteering

Central Singapore Club 3R: Mon to Fri, 2pm – 5pm
Tue and / or Wed, 6pm – 8pm
Jurong Club 3R: Mon to Fri, 2pm – 5pm
Oasis Day Centre: Mon to Fri, 3pm – 5pm
Bukit Gombak Group Homes: Sat, 2pm – 8pm
YouthReach: Mon to Fri, 3pm – 5pm
Creative Hub @ GAC: Opportunities available on project basis
Activity Hub @ Pelangi Village: Mon to Fri, 9am – 5pm

 

Indirect Service

Administrative Support

  • SAMH Headquarters

Community Mental Health Education Outreach

  • Public Forums/Outreach Events
    (help manage booth, logistics, ushering duties etc.)

General Services

  • Housekeeping, maintenance, photography, etc.

Criteria for Volunteers

  • Preferably aged 16 and above
  • Able to commit on block period or project basis
  • Group volunteers from schools or organizations are welcome to apply
