PATRON
PRESIDENT
Assoc Prof Lee is the Vice Chairman Medical Board (Clinical) at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) since March 2012. He was also appointed the Programme Director for the National Addictions Management Service in IMH in May 2017.
He has been the President of the Singapore Psychiatric Association since 2013. He is also a member of the Singapore Medical Council’s Complaints Panel since 1 December 2012 as well as a member of the Specialist Advisory Board to the Singapore Armed Forces in Psychiatry since 1 January 2014. He has received many awards over the years including the Healthcare Humanity Award in 2008, the Public Service Star Service Award in 2010, the National Healthcare Group Distinguished Achievement Award in 2014 as well as the Friends of MSF (Ministry of Social and Family Development) Award in 2017.
He will receive his appointment as a Justice of the Peace for a term of 5 years with effect from 24 April 2018.
VICE-PRESIDENTS
Dr Lee has served on many boards and national committees in education, manpower and IT areas. He was a Member of the Future Economy Council’s Essential Domestic Services (EDS) Sub-Committee, which steers industry transformation in healthcare, early childhood education and adult education. Currently, he is an Independent Director of Nera Telecommunications Ltd; Board Member of ILA Vietnam Ltd. Co., Worldwide Education and Training Limited, Singapore Pools (Pte) Ltd as well as the TENG Company. Dr Lee also chairs the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) R&D Tax Technical Advisory Panel.
Dr Lee graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of California at Berkeley. He attended the INSEAD Avira Program and Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Dr Lee received Singapore’s Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2010 and Public Service Star (BBM) in 2016. He was awarded a Doctor of Business honoris causa by the RMIT University in 2014; Doctor of Science honoris causa by the University of London in 2016 and an Honorary Degree of Doctor of the University of Stirling in 2018.
Dr Lee had a 27-year successful career in IT consulting and services before moving to education in 2005.
HON SECRETARY
Prior to this appointment, she has worked at the National University Cancer Institute of Singapore (NCIS) as Head of Clinical Trials (HORG), Department of Haematology and Oncology. Under her leadership, the team grew significantly over 10 years to manage more than 250 cancer trials, including a number of first-in-man and first-in-class early drug studies.
Joanne has worked in various multinational pharmaceutical companies holding various functions in sales, marketing, product development and clinical research in the field of Oncology and Psychiatry.
Joanne contributed to the academia and served as a member of the Chemical & Life Sciences Advisory Committee at Nanyang Polytechnic, to ensure diploma courses serves the needs of the industry.
Joanne devotes her time to promoting mental health awareness, an important area often neglected and stigmatised by most people. Since 2007, Joanne has been serving as a board member with the Singapore Association of Mental Health (SAMH) and has held a few terms as Honorary Treasurer and Secretary.
HON TREASURER
Ms Kwong is currently the Managing Director of The Global Value Investment Portfolio Management Pte Ltd, an investment management company based in Singapore. Her investment focus is on commercialization of leading edge technology beneficial to a clean environment and sustainable living.
Ms Kwong has extensive experience in fund raising, corporate finance, capital markets and debt restructuring arising from her senior management positions previously held at Laurel Capital Kingsway LLP, United Kingdom; HL Bank (which is the Singapore branch of Hong Leong Bank Berhad); Mycom Berhad (now Dutaland) and Olympia Industries Berhad Group, Malaysia; PrimeEast Capital Ltd (now BNP Paribas Hong Kong), Hong Kong; and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell (Asia) Ltd (now Deutsche Bank), Singapore and Hong Kong.
Ms Kwong holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Major in Finance and Human Resources Management, and Minor in French, from the California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, from Loughborough University (UK) and a Masters degree from the MIT Sloan Fellows programme for innovation and global leadership.
BOARD MEMBERS
After 15 years in law, Seang Pin changed direction and joined the non-profit sector. She spent ten years in the Singapore international headquarters of OMF International, a faith-based NGO operating in Asia-Pacific, in a variety of roles including leadership development, corporate structuring, and recruitment. She then joined another NGO (Operation Mobilization) to work on a project to enhance the financial sustainability of majority world workers, and is now Executive Manager to the Associate International Director for Global Resourcing for OM.
Jasmine has a Bachelor of Laws from National University of Singapore; a Master of Laws in Transnational Business Practice from McGeorge School of Law, Sacramento, California; and a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD (Paris).
She has extensive experience at growing emerging and untapped markets. Her monetisation capabilities is demonstrated by her achievements at LEGO, National Instruments and Apple.
Her leadership acumen is driven from her diverse exposure of cultures across Asia Pacific coupled with senior management discipline in her rich career with Multi National Corporations.
Her beliefs in creating sustainable growth through cultural diversity is anchored by her active engaged driven platform proven by her constant participation as advisory committee at SAMH, Tech Whye Primary School and other non-profit organisations.
Cheng Pier enjoys reading and music. Her passion in arts forms the basis of her inspiration to drive diversity and change.
Some of the multinationals which Colin had worked for includes Roche, Eli Lilly, Pharmacia, Wyeth, Celgene, Becton Dickinson and Link Healthcare (A Clinigen Company). He has experienced in various functions including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Business Operations (which had oversight of Human Resource, Logistics/Supply Chain, IT and Training) whilst in Pharmacia and General Management in Celgene and Becton Dickinson.
Colin was previously the Vice President, Asia for Link Healthcare (A Clinigen Company), and he is now a pharmacist (locum) at NTUC Fairprice.
Besides working for MNCs in the pharma and medical device spaces, Colin displayed his entrepreneurial spirit in operating a retail pharmacy business and his consulting business, having consulted on several projects including projects with IQVIA.
Colin offered his voluntary community services as a Board member with 1 term as Vice President and several terms as Honorary Treasurer & Secretary in Singapore Association for Mental Health. He was awarded 10 and 15 years of Long Service Medal by the relevant Ministry. Colin is a team player with good leadership qualities.
Colin is a pharmacist with a Master of Business Administration with the National University of Singapore.
He is married with 2 children.
Winston was formerly a partner and the Head of Assurance for the Financial Services Singapore and ASEAN of Ernst & Young LLP, where he was overseeing the growth and strategic priorities of the Financial Services Assurance practises in Singapore and in ASEAN. He has more than 26 years of professional service experience.
Winston holds a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours)in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology UK and a Master of Business Administration (Accounting) from York University, Canada. He is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Australia.
Winston is a member of the Board of Trustee of the SNEC Health Research Endowment Fund and a committee member of the SingHealth Fund-SNEC Institute Fund.
