Training Officer at MINDSET Learning Hub

MINDSET Learning Hub (MLH) is a collaboration between the Jardine Matheson Group of companies MINDSET Care Limited and the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH). MLH aims to provide Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) training and employment placement, in industries such as cleaning, food and beverage, hospitality, healthcare support and retail, for Persons-In-Recovery.

Responsibilities

  1. Working with Training Executive to design, develop and conduct training programmes for persons with mental health concerns.
  2. Assisting Training Executive in facilitating vocational training of persons with mental health concerns.
  3. Monitoring, evaluating and documenting clients’ attendance and progress in vocational training, including traineeship, work trial and on the job training.
  4. Serving as point of contact to external training providers and partners, including employers who are interested to collaborate to support persons with mental health concerns in developing vocational skills to gain employment.
  5. Working collaboratively with caseworkers, providing regular feedback on matters of concerns relating to clients in vocational training and in support of the achievement of functional goals.

Job Requirements

  1. Possess at least a diploma in psychology, social work, social service studies or training related fields.
  2. Prior experience in areas of vocational training, assessment or placement is highly preferred.
  3. Possess quality of being proactive, resourceful, persuasive, problem solving and be the part of the solution.
  4. Possess ability to listen, empathize and care for persons with mental health concerns
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  6. Be proficient in MS Office.
  7. Independent and able to work in a team.
