SAMH manages Insight Centre where counselling services began in 1981 by providing a helpline and face-to-face counselling for persons with psychiatric, psychological or emotional issues, as well as their families.
Purpose :
As a senior counsellor, you will improve mental wellbeing through various platforms. You are responsible for facilitating new treatment plans and conduct direct services such as mental health assessments to help those in need. Individual and group therapies will be led by your knowledge and skills to improve the community’s mental health.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to conduct workshops, and lessons to the community by providing essential information and knowledge to reduce the stigma of mental health. In addition, you will supervise a team of counsellors and interns by giving your guidance and experience.
