Programme Specialist (Lead role) at Creative Hub

Job Description

As a programme specialist you play a vital role in the programme and project design and delivery at Creative hub. You will work in tandem with the team lead and centre administrator to ensure outcome and output measurements are achieved. You should exhibit a nurturing, supportive and cohesive environment that remains in line with the organisation’s mission and value statements. SAMH Creative Hub dedicates it’s work in helping dedication to helping individuals ages 10 and above to improve their overall mental well-being through creativity. Programmes are offered in-centre or island wide and involves working with various stakeholders to ensure that appropriate care is provided for both the individual, family, and community.

Responsibilities:

Programme Management

  1. Design, coordinate, and facilitate creative programmes that aims to improve mental well-being. These programmes are carried out as part of Creative Hub’s in-centre programme and external engagements with schools, corporate and community partners.
  2. Work with outreach team lead to design programmes that aims to improve overall community mental well-being.
  3. Guide junior staff and volunteers in executing programme activities
  4. Progress of SAMH clients in SAMH Creative Hub programmes should adhere to timely updates and documentation with care team and relevant stakeholders.
  5. Determine volunteer needs and profile for programmes
  6. Manage engagement and performance of the programme team
  7. Manage programme risk, evaluation, quality and compliance
  8. Monitor programme expenses to ensure operations are within allocated budgets
  9. Review information materials for distribution to clients and volunteers
  10. Review programmes to ensure relevance and effectiveness in meeting current and future needs of SAMH clients and community mental health
  11. Support the professional development of the programme team

Project Management:

  1. Responsible for strategizing, planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This is a senior role at the organisation requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously. The process will include the following leading and planning of project sessions, coordinating staff and internal resources, managing project progress and adapt work as required, preparing proposals and budgets, overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation, participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review, and conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff.
  2. Optimising and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
  3. Securing growth opportunities and initiating new projects

Career development

  1. To attend monthly supervision (review cases, submit video, case recordings etc.)
  2. Take ownership of practice and development.

Others

  1. To perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Director due to exigencies of services.
  2. This role may require you to be present for events, senior management engagements and network meetings.
  3. To ensure a healthy and cohesive working culture is established within the team.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in the arts and design
  • Group facilitation and creative lesson planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to operate digital system, Canva and social media platforms is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to work across all disciplines and sectors
  • Analytical, leadership and planning skills
  • Foundational mental health literacy
  • Excellent in written and spoken language skills with proficiency in English
  • Project management skills
  • 5-8 years in programme and project management
  • Direct work in social service sector is an advantage
  • Experience in events is a must
