Lead, Community Partnership and Corporate Development, SAMH

At Singapore Association for Mental Health, SAMH, we improve the lives of persons with mental health issues through rehabilitation and reintegration. Reporting to the Corporate Service Director (CSD), the candidate is required to provide the strategic direction for the identification, cultivation and management of strategic partnerships with external stakeholders to advance the vision, mission and strategic objectives of SAMH. He/She will also assist in projects in areas of corporate development and governance. 

Core Duties

This will involve:

  • Partnership management
  • Develop strategies to cultivate strong and sustainable relationships with strategic partners to support their connection and alignment with the organisation’s vision, mission and strategic objectives.
  • Identify and reach out to new potential partners to have strategic and meaningful collaborations in areas of fundraising, volunteerism and advocacy opportunities for SAMH.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to recruit volunteers with the right skills and knowledge to contribute effectively and to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Drive the volunteer management programme to train, deploy, retain and appreciate the volunteers.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer engagement and management initiatives, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Develop/review and implement policies, SOPs and frameworks for partnership management.

 

  • Fundraising
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of prospective corporate and donors to contribute towards the long-term financial sustainability of SAMH
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies and plans
  • Cultivate relationships with donors, corporates, sponsors and prospects to support SAMH’s mission and programmes
  • Plan and oversee fundraising events and campaigns
  • Monitor and report on fundraising performance and progress towards the annual targets set by Board/Management.
  • Review processes, data and conduct relevant business and sector analysis.
  • Establish different language approaches for different donor types.
  • Preferably be proficient with Salesforce Donor/Volunteer management system for use for data analysis, relations and stewardship management, gift acknowledgements, solicitation and cultivation of mailings, and event invitations etc.
  • Develop/review and implement policies, SOPs and frameworks for donor management.
  • Supervise the Community Partnership team to mee the above stated deliverables.
  • Corporate Development
  • Support and work with the CSD and other relevant stakeholders on projects for Corporate Development and/or Governance such as Risk management, Business Continuity Planning, etc
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations including the Charities Act, IPC regulations, Societies Act and Code of Governance for Charities and IPCs
  • Support the Board in areas of board governance, evaluation and renewal.

Qualifications :

  • Singapore Citizen with a recognised university degree with proven experience in fundraising, donor and volunteer relations, corporate development and related roles.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience with at least 5-8 years in a leadership position. Experience in a non-profit organisation would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills with ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective engagement strategies/initiatives.
