Assistant Manager/Manager, Volunteer Management at SAMH

At Singapore Association for Mental Health, SAMH, we improve the lives of persons with mental health issues through rehabilitation and reintegration. Our beneficiaries include youths, students and adults. We are here at every step of their recovery journey, while also providing emotional and practical support to their families and caregivers.


Reporting to our Community Partnership Manager, you will contribute to the support and development of Volunteer Management within SAMH.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review current policies, frameworks, and collect relevant data for best practices
  • Work with management to identify funding and volunteering needs
  • Develop strategies to cultivate a sustainable eco-system within Volunteer Management
  • Determine appropriate cost-effective volunteer management systems that can be transferrable to centres of SAMH
  • Develop and implement standard operation procedures
  • Curate accountability and evaluative indicators to ensure that corporate governance is adhered to and stakeholders are managed purposefully
  • Create engagement initiatives and opportunities to expand and maintain volunteer relations
  • Design and coordinate workshops to train staff to support domains

The Successful Applicant

You are a people-oriented, energetic and enthusiastic candidate with a passion to contribute in the social service environment with:-

  • Minimum a Degree in the field of Social Services or equivalent
  • 5 – 8 years managerial/supervisory experience in strategic work, resource management, project management or events management
  • Direct work or volunteering experience in social service sector is an advantage
  • Training and knowledge in adult learning will be beneficial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to navigate digital systems and social media platforms is an advantage
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, leadership and planning skills
  • Passionate about social service cause
