SAMH manages the Activity Hub, where psychosocial rehabilitative programmes are conducted to assist residents in their recovery from mental illness and to reintegrating them into the community. Activity Hub’s services include occupational therapy, social work, psychological services and vocational placements.


Looking for a meaning job with a true purpose, join us in making a difference as an Assistant Manager, Operations. You will have to responsible for managing day-to-day administration and operating systems of Activity Hub and to ensure the smooth flow of process and SOP in order to support the rehabilitation work for residents.

As an Assistant Manager, Operations in the Activity Hub, you are required to participate, implement, and review programmes appropriate to the resident’s profile. You will provide supervision to the staff on the coordination for the care for residents at Pelangi Village and provide guidance / address the supervision needs of the staff. Also, we need to ensure that the centre runs smoothly by doing supervision, mentor, and orientate newly recruited staff. Apply and join us in doing a meaningful job.

Core Duties:

  • Audit, evaluate and modify delivery of programmes
  • Prepare service standards, performance indicators and operating guidelines
  • Prepare periodic reports for submission to management, external agencies and annual reports
  • Oversee the Monthly calculation of work allowance to residents involved in work scheme
  • Conduct internal and external training programmes on mental health related topics
  • Other duties assigned by reporting officer


  • Bachelor of Social Work / Psychology / Counselling
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in mental health or VWO sectors, with at least 3 years in managerial role
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Effectively bilingual and proficient in local dialects
  • Able to self-motivated and resilience to serve the mental health population
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
