Administrative Assistant (6 months Temporary) for ODC

Oasis Day Centre (ODC) is a psychiatric rehabilitation programme for people in recovery of mental illness or dual diagnosis (i.e., mild developmental disorders and mental illness). The main objective is to optimise clients’ level of function in the community, so as to cultivate independence, enhance interpersonal skills, and improve job readiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep proper record for Petty Cash claims and reimbursement, and submit a monthly Summary of Petty Cash Reimbursement to Finance
  • Receive, record and bank-in cash or cheque collected and submit a monthly memo/ transmitter to Finance
  • Keep proper record for all invoices issued out
  • Keep proper record of gifts and donations to centre
  • Ensure that HR are informed immediately on all details affecting payroll and staff welfare such as no pay leave, hospitalization leave, compassionate leave and maternity leave etc
  • Submit staff medical certificate and transport claims to HR for record keeping
  • Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
  • Open letter box, read and answer e-mails, record incoming and outgoing mails daily
  • Attend SAMH Outreach Events
  • Conduct talks for visitors to ODC
  • Prepare refreshments for meetings when necessary

Requirements:

  • Possess  GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ level or NITEC
  • Passionate, energetic and enthusiastic
  • Team spirit
  • Willing to commit to a 6 months temporary contract
  • Prior work experience in the Social Services sector will have an advantage
