Activity Assistant (IT) at Activity Hub @ Pelangi Village

SAMH manages the Activity Hub, where psychosocial rehabilitative programmes are conducted to assist residents in their recovery from mental illness and to reintegrating them into the community. Activity Hub’s services include occupational therapy, social work, psychological services and vocational placements.

Purpose:

Looking for a meaningful job with a true purpose, join us in making a difference as an Activity Assistant (IT). You will ensure smooth running of operation and maintenance of IT facilities and related infrastructure in Activity Hub.

Activity Assistant (IT) is a fundamental job as you have to assist in teaching the basic IT fundamentals  and also guiding residents towards vocational placements, such as online social enterprise, etc. Join us and be part of our team to promote and change someone’s life for the better.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides first level IT support and troubleshooting
  • Take charge of performing routine maintenance and systems checks
  • Plan and conduct digital skills programmes related to daily living, leisure, emotional and mental to engage residents
  • Assist in teaching and guiding residents for online platform techniques of digital and social media marketing
  • Events management – coordinate with staff, residents and volunteers to prepare for performance and ensure events are well-organised
  • Participate and support in programmes conducted by Activity Hub and other SAMH projects
  • Inventory management – responsible for procurement of IT equipment and services
  • Perform other administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum Nitec or Diploma in an IT-related discipline
  • Mininum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Good troubleshooting skills (analytical, problem solving and reporting)
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Passionate, energetic and enthusiastic
  • Independent and able to work in a team
  • Self motivated and passionate to serve the mental health population
  • Experience working in Social Service Agencies will be an added advantage
